Many of us forget that in the past you couldn't just drive down to the nearest store and buy a block of butter. Butter was hand made through agitation or churned using cream from milk.
In this class, small batch butter maker and dairy products extraordinaire - Sarah Klobe, revives a treasured treat - butter the old fashioned way. Sarah will share with participants the art of home kitchen butter making from scratch using fresh, rich, jersey cream.
This two hour workshop will provide participants with hands on experience in butter making along with handy butter making tips that have been passed down through the generations. You'll get a butter making recipe to take home, and your own little butter pat. In addition, a tasting selection of home made prepared yoghurt and sour cream will be available and recipe tips for each.
Whether you're a beginner or seasoned cook, this class is designed to provide participants with the skills to make chemical free, pure butter at home.
So, if getting your hands creamy whilst creating your own little lump of delicious dairy gold butter appeals - this is the evening for you.
Feel free to have a look at what Sarah Klobe is up too!
