This workshop will teach you about vegetable ferments and cultured condiments. This two hour workshop focusses on the basics of fermenting in particular with vegetables. You will take home recipes and a jar of your own vegetables to continue fermenting at home. Following this, there will be a tasting of some pre-fermented examples.
In this 2 hour workshop, Christian will introduce you to the do's and dont's of fermenting, mold differences and brining techniques . You will be walked through the process before making your own batch to take home and ferment on your bench top.
You will take home your own veggie medley in a fermentation jar that you can use over and over. Christian will have some of his own ferments (e.g. Kimchi) that you can try and buy on the night.
